Eduardo Lozano
With over 25 years of experience, Eduardo Lozano's life revolves around painting. A painter, teacher, and curator of exhibitions at the UNED University of Calatayud, Lozano enjoys the characteristics that this medium offers, using it both to feel alive and to express himself through his language. Throughout his career, he has held over 30 solo exhibitions and has been awarded more than forty individual prizes and grants, such as the Artistic Fellowship at Residency Unlimited in New York (August-October 2022).
With a direct language, Lozano develops gestural and spontaneous painting, born from feeling and finding synthesis as one of its essential characteristics. He develops his work through the establishment of firm compositional structures that eliminate unnecessary data and details, focusing on the essence of the central theme. The result is warm, nuanced works with a tactile and generous texture.
In recent years, Lozano delves into suggestion, approached through landscape, whether in nature or the city. His works are not based on physical representation but on mental reflection, working from abstract aspects such as memory or sensations.
Bachelor of Fine Arts, specializing in painting, University of Salamanca. 1993-1998
Doctoral courses at the University of Fine Arts of Salamanca. 1999
